Block of the Month

Our new Block of the Month, exclusively at Flying Geese Fabric, is "Katie's Garden." It is appliqued on fabric with 100% felted wools, many of them hand-dyed, with silk ribbon stems. This original pattern by Katie Wilson is a really beautiful wallhanging that will bring life-like flowers into your home. When you sign up for the program, you will receive one block each month from July 2012 through June 2013 (skipping December). You may sign up at the shop and pick up your block there each month, or sign up on line and have your blocks shipped to you. In addition, there will be a class taught by Sharon Brandt on the last Tuesday night of each month for those who would like to learn applique from an expert. Each month's kit will include the background fabric, wool, floss and silk ribbon for the blocks where it is used for the stems. Your finished quilt will surely be an heirloom.
